'The Dawngate Revival Project' started as a fan project in 2017 to recreate the experience of playing Dawngate using the game's original assets. It has been under slow and steady development ever since.

In 2020, the team approached EA about acquiring the Dawngate IP, and ran a kickstarter with that aim raising over $100k. While it was not possible to secure the IP, they decided to continue developing a game under the new name of 'Dreambound', featuring original IP.

Updates about the game ceased in 2022.

Drops you into a community that is overwhelmingly positive, and interested in everyone's personal growth as leaders and team players. This game makes teams feel like teams.

The game will ship with a co-op lane-pushing survival mode, as well as extensive tools for modding and creating new lane-pushing games.

Its lead designer is Softmints: author of this site and two previous lane-pushing games: Dota Outland and Rise of Winterchill (2007).

Individual heroes could be unlocked and persistently progressed by playing with them in one of many game modes including single-player campaigns, lane-pushing on various maps, and co-operative dungeon crawling.

A 7v7 game from China, based on League of Legends and using apparently unlicenced IP from a wide variety of sources. The jungle creeps are all pokemon, while heroes include characters from disney, anime, and other games.

Heroes have two dedicated item slots for consumables, which play a large role in gameplay.

Simple 1v1 one-lane game, offers some troop customisation but not much else.

A sci-fi game with a large focus on the lanes. Teams may upgrade their troops and increase the numbers being spawned. This allowed for some level of RTS strategy with certain troops countering others.

Developed and marketed primarily in Asia. Players enter the match picking three heroes, and can swap which one is active after dying. In-game progression is heavily weighted towards loadouts, though heroes having a large choice of skills to level up, and lots of consumable items, also played a part.
