This is interesting. One concern I have is that cherry picking strong bans is more valuable at the absolute highest level of play, because of the way team compositions work. I can't speak from experience across the board, since I've never played dota/hon/etc competitively, but in league of legends, all the way up to platinum, this will still cause problems for FotM (flavor of the month) bans like kassadin, and currently master yi. I think only at platinum or higher will players appreciate the mode, due to the fact that they can counter the yi with a strong team composition, for example.
